The Ascent Employment Program mission is to provide assistance to people in our community needing meaningful employment, especially those with troubled backgrounds. The goal of the program is to give job seekers a hand up and not just a hand-out, thus allowing them to become self sufficient. Ascent has been very successful in assisting job seekers as well as providing troubled backgrounds clients a safe, supportive, and hospital environment that allows our clients to focus on their job search.

Founded in 1985, has helped over 10,000 people find employment in Santa Clara County. Ascent was started when Father Jim Mifsud, S.M., and several concerned friends identified the need to help people with troubled backgrounds find suitable work. The program has since expanded to include all adults.

The program is a 100% volunteer service to the community and is provided free of cost to its clients. Donations to our organization, as well as indivuduals wishing their time and talents to our ongoing efforts, are what allow us to continue this program. Additional information on Donations and Voulunteering can be found at the links above.
